She also worked with international leaders to launch an international conference: "Sustaining the Bering Sea: An International Conference for Collaboration" attended by policy leaders, scientists, local fishermen, NGO's, and indigenous leaders from five countries with a stake in managing one of the most productive fisheries in the world.
