International Publishing CentreSaikat Kumar Basu did his Masters in Botany from the University of Calcutta (India) and Agricultural Studies from the University of Lethbridge (Canada). Currently serving as the Executive Research Director of a private firm in western Canada.

e has authored several research and review articles published in reputed national and international journals; as well as books and book chapters published by premier international academic publishers.

He has written, edited and co-edited over 25 books till date. He has participated in a number of national and international seminars and conferences presenting papers and posters and is an active member of a number of organizations in Canada and India.

He has received several awards such as Graduate Citizenship Award (2009), Alberta Graduate Student Award (2009), CSA Best Article Award (2010), SAEA Volunteer Award (2011), AFC Celebrate Agriculture in Alberta Photo Award (2012), ASPB Peggy Thompson Publication Award (2014) and Dr. Gopal Chandra Bhattacharya Memorial Award (2020). Saikat enjoys travelling, soccer, cricket, writing and photography during his leisure.
