Susan LagsdinSusan Lagsdin encouraged many young poets during her career as a teacher of writing. She also captured her own memories and per-ceptions in verse and, in this volume, has collected her favorites-some published, many performed-from five decades of wriing. Born in New England and raised in California's Bay Area, Susan has spent most of her adult years in the inland Northwest. She's said that her earliest roots grew and held fast in the Methow Valley, where she launched her teaching career, directed community theater productions, and rode horseback on mountain trails. Since 2006, she's lived in East Wenatchee with journalist and photographer Mike Irwin.Susan taught English at Wenatchee Valley College and is on the board of directors of Write on the River.
