Einführung: Erste Definition und Ziel der Arbeit "Маленький человек" в литературе - обозначение довольно разнородных героев, объединенных тем, что они занимают одно из низших мест социальной иерархии и что это обстоятельство определяет их психологию и общественное поведение. Verbreitet ist eine Demütigung, verbunden mit Ungerechtigkeitsempfinden und gekränktem Stolz. Deshalb tritt der kleine Mann häufig in Opposition zu einer anderen, einer hochgestellten, einer "bedeutenden Person" auf und die Sujetentwicklung wird hauptsächlich als Geschichte einer Beleidigung, einer Kränkung, eines Unglücks konstruiert. Das Thema "der kleine Mann" entwickelte sich in der russischen Literatur des XIX. Jahrhunderts besonders nach der Veröffentlichung von A.S. Puskins "Stancionnyj smotritel'". In den 1830-50ern wurde das Thema vornehmlich im Geleise der Erzählung über den armen Beamten ausgearbeitet, hierbei geschah eine Entfaltung der Hauptperson, ein Umdenken seiner Verhaltensmotive. Während der Gegenstand der Bestrebungen von Akakij Akakievič ein Sachgegenstand, ein Mantel ist, so tritt in den Werken der natürlichen Schule (etwa J.P. Butkov, A.N. Majkov) demonstrativ an erster Stelle "die Zuneigung der Hauptperson zu der Tochter, zur Braut, zur Geliebten". Die Nichtübereinstimmung ihres offiziellen, dienstlichen Lebens mit dem häuslichen Leben wurde betont. Beachtung erfuhren vorwiegend "Motive der Ehre, des Stolzes, der Ambition". Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es die Charakterisierung des "kleinen Mannes" diachron in ausgewählten Werken von N. Gogol' über A. Čechov bis hin M. Bulgakov zu untersuchen. Es soll erforscht werden, ob jeder Autor ein eigenes Bild dieses Menschen entwirft oder ob es Parallelen gibt.
