About the Book

The 'From Earth to Terra' series begins some 200 years in our future. Earth is dying. Climate Change has taken its toll, wreaking havoc on our environment, the oceans, and our world. All life forms are facing extinction. The rains do not fall, the icecaps have melted. The global ocean levels have risen, over 60 feet, forcing a subtle but consistent migration inland. Famine, disease, and war are the norm. The Life Trust Guild, a clandestine organization with hinted ties to The Free Masons and The Illuminati, were entrusted with the saving of mankind and his knowledge for centuries. They have hatched a plan to make good on their commitment. They will steal two ships from NASA, load them with essential supplies, all the knowledge available to them, and 200 civilians each, and send them into the cosmos, to a new planet, Terra. The Guild has seized control of the spacecraft. The escape goes off successfully but the Guild has been betrayed, and there will be a pursuit. The ships' Captains jointly opt to change course and begin looking for another planet, leapfrogging the ships across the cosmos, until they encounter some odd radiation which propels them through space and perhaps even time. When the captains come out of flight sleep, they cannot ascertain where or even when they are. They are safe from pursuit, but there is no going back, and no help will ever come. 'From Earth to Terra, A New Beginning', is just that, a new beginning. The colonists spend their days building their community behind the safety of a force field. They have hovercraft, laser weapons, solar panels, and computers, yet they are forced to grow their food from the soil. They have access to all the knowledge the computer hard drive could hold but cannot communicate beyond the distance their voice will travel, or predict a storm. As the colonists began their struggles on this new planet, a subtle hierarchy began to appear as well. Those who came from old families, old money and influence, wanted to establish dominance and began exerting their influences and strengthening their control. Prejudice against Tubers (those who's DNA was spliced together in a lab and grown in a tub) was rife in the new colony. The story centers around Amanda, Nick (Her pod companion/husband) and her brother Paul. There are many other characters interacting with this trio as they all struggle with the day to day difficulties of this new world. They discover a fascinating array of plants and animals, some extremely dangerous. It isn't long before they lose one of their own to a lake residing beast. The higher oxygen levels and lower gravity seems to have heightened their endurance levels as it seems to have increased the size of the animals on this new planet, all appearing to be larger than the animals from Earth. With the tensions rising in the colony, it isn't long before they begin searching, yet again, for another place to live. Amanda, Nick, Paul and those likeminded, wanted to distance themselves from those who wanted to be in control, to be in power, to live the life of leisure off the sweat of others. Nick found such a place. They began to build a new home in secret. The embryos from Earth are grown to provide them with animal herds, so too, are human embryos to increase their population. Tensions between the splintering factions increase until finally, culminating in a climatic exodus to 'Stone City' at the end of book one. Stone City is the second installment of the series, "From Earth to Terra". It picks up the morning after the colonist escape from the ship settlement. They continue the building of their city as they rush to prepare for the up coming winter. Cry with them as they experience death, and a new birth. Struggle with them as they are forced to discipline one of their own for hurting a fellow Clan member. There are new plants, new animals, and new dangers. Join the drama as our displaced earthlings struggled to build a life on this new and exciting pla
