About the Author: Born in Adelaide, Australia. Studied psychology and philosophy during which time I became interested in Buddhism. This led to several Tibetan and Vipassana Buddhist meditation retreats and the genesis of a successful like-minded community which I have promised not to name; where we generate our own electricity, (solar and micro-hydro), have our own gravity-fed spring water and actively pursue fulfilling personal, professional and community lives. In that time I have hand-built my own home, helped others with theirs and raised three children while pursuing the creative life. In 2005 I experienced a cerebral haemorrhage which I survived using meditation in the manner outlined in this book. It began this series of books which has consumed my creative attention since. I have been blessed to be an author in the tech-age, which has allowed me to write full-time on my laptop and then self-publish via wireless broadband from my off-the grid home deep in the sub-tropical forest.
