About the Book

The book is aimed to create an interest for Nanoscience in the students so that they develop an appreciation for the wider aspects of sciences and technologies involved in it. Written in an easy-to-understand manner, this book is meant for the graduate and undergraduate students in Nanotechnology or Materials Science. It can also be used as a resource material for active researchers. This book will provide a good background reading to the postgraduate students who want to expand their horizons in the diversified fields of Nanotechnology.

About the Author

DR. M. A. Shah is an Assistant Professor in Department of Physics, National Institute of Technology, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. He has published a number of publications in reputed international journals and many conference proceedings in the field of Nanosciences and Nanotechnology. Dr. Shah has established a World Bank-funded Sophisticated Instrumentation Centre under TEQIP programme in 2006 at National Institute of Technology, Srinagar. DR. K. A. Shah is the Head of Department of Physics, Govt. College for Women, Anatnag, Jammu and Kashmir. He has published a good number of papers in reputed national and international journals and in international conferences proceedings. Dr. Shah has been awarded DST’s (J&K) Young Scientist Fellowship-2010 and has also done an outstanding work on functionalization of Carbon Nanotubes (CNTs).
