About the Book

The book is a monograph based mainly on the ideas in an article presented at the 3rd Annual International Conference on Physics in July 2015, Athens, as well as on other 3 articles published by the author in "Applied Physics Research" of the Canadian Center of Science and Education. The problem with the constancy of the speed of light must be concerned in two aspects. Foremost, we must realize that space is stationary, and this is a consequence of Newton's law of universal gravitation (F=G(m1.m2 )/r^2). Space has no mass, and the gravitational forces cannot make space move - they only warp the space. This actually means that only the contraction (warping) of space moves along with the celestial bodies, but space remains stationary! The first aspect of the problem with the constancy of the speed of light concerns the speed of light in vacuum - that it depends on the intensity of the gravitational field (on the level of distortion of space). This was proven experimentally as early as 1964 by American Astrophysicist Dr. Irwin I. Shapiro. The second aspect of the problem concerns the velocity of light in moving inertial frames of reference in a local time-spatial domain with a uniform intensity of the gravitational field. Part I presents analyses of all "unexpected" and "inexplicable" results of the most famous experiments related to the behavior and measurement of the speed of light. They are based on classical mechanics and Galilean relativity, which are indisputably valid and lawful in our local time-spatial domain "on the Earth's surface". Sagnac experiment, Michelson-Gale-Pearson experiment, and the light speed anisotropy in the "one-way measurement of the speed of light" are analysed. They demonstrate that the measured speed of light is not the same in all inertial frames of reference. The analysis of the "Michelson-Morley experiment" proves that the inappropriate conceptual design of Michelson's interferometer is actually the primary root cause for the delusion that "the speed of light is the same in all inertial frames of reference", which is the core of special relativity. Part II contains the main scientific contribution of this monograph - a factual concept of physical reality in the Universe: "Model of Uncertainty of the Universe" that explains the delusion that the speed of light in vacuum is constant for the entire Universe. The presented "Thesis about the behavior of the electromagnetic radiation in the gravitational field" replaces the "postulate of the constancy of the speed of light". Part III of the book shows analysis, revealing the essence of the article "On the Electrodynamics of Moving Bodies", where special relativity was published. The analysis shows exactly where and how the false claim "the speed of light is the same for all inertial frames of reference" was applied. Part IV of the book "What is Truth and Proof in Science?" unveils the most common objectionable techniques used in the "fundamental tests" of the special theory of relativity. Besides the fully fabricated tests, one of the most used techniques is the "liar paradox". For example, using this trick, Kurt Gödel demonstrated the "Theorems of Incompleteness" - that the "truth" value of a statement cannot be evaluated by reference to a previously accepted value of the statement itself (self-referring). Some of the existing misconceptions in modern physics are also shown in this part of the book. In fact, there are two problems: THE FIRST PROBLEM arises before the reader decides to read the book - they think that the special theory of relativity is too complex for them (as preached...). THE SECOND PROBLEM would arise after they have read the book. Then, they would see that the source of "incomprehension" is actually the inconsistency of special relativity with physical reality! But then one would say: "This delusion cannot be so obvious. If so, why it has been maintained by modern physics for so long...
