About the Book

Delve into the chaotic world of Ascadia, where dreams spawn dragons, and dragons breed devastation. The world is oppressed, and the people struggle to hold on. Kings merely operate in the background as magic reigns and the evil of the world is hunted and punished. Conflict is on the horizon, but if it is reached is not yet certain. Conspiracy between mages and demon worshippers, the arrival of necromancers, dragons returning from the Tempest to help man and mortal; hope remains. The story takes you to many places within this singular giant continent called Ascadia, where the world is covered almost entirely by uncharted sea. A bloodline of non-mage magic users called witchhunters have returned to help rid the world of evil once more, and a powerful and kind wizard takes on many tasks that save many people from certain doom. Warriors have much at stake as well, as conflict and change sweeps this unseemingly epic world. Tempest is a Fantasy story that takes place in Ascadia, the half of the world not covered in sea. A powerful wizard hires the help of a witchhunter to track down a rogue wizard from his tower in Ascadia. Many adventures ensue, and the story changes quite a bit since its Prologue. Wars are waged, dragons attack innocent cities, and dark conspirators and demon worshippers called The Enslavers operate in the magical underworld. Delve into the chaotic world of Ascadia, where dreams spawn dragons, and dragons breed devastation. The world is oppressed, and the people struggle to hold on. Kings merely operate in the background as magic reigns and the evil of the world is hunted and punished. Ascadia conquered by King Ascadia in the first Epoch, this Fictional Fantasy follows the mishaps and adventures of a rogue wizard-lord and his witchhunter ally and employee. It also takes them many places. It also tells the story of Craeon Sampson, one of the greatest fighters who ever lived. Many dark trials await just a few heroes in a dark world of magic and oppression. This Fantasy story tells of a steady world kept together through ancient pacts of conquered kings. From the ambitions of man, to the final restoration of the elves and dwarves, and the struggle between peace and strife. Good outcomes come from bad, and bad from good. There is no black and white in Ascadia, for nothing is what it seems.
About the Author: Scotty Wilson is your typical adult who devotes himself to family, leisure, and in the past music, and a little open-source C++ Programming. Since building a custom PC he enjoys to play games on occasion, mainly the RPG genre on the Linux platform. At a young age (11-13) he won first place in his local library's short story contest, and 2nd place the year after. Off and on and at many ages he has written things and had them lost from moving around so much, or having the misfortune of it. Since stories can be typed on personal computers now, he has found his niche again and has published Tempest in March 7th 2013 that has been dubbed a Speculative Fiction and Fantasy, much like the story Eragon. Experimenting with a few types of music, mainly electronic, and having it just not take off even after the years went by, he chose a more subtle and hobbyist friendly thing to do; write. It was one of his brother's friends named Jake, who at his Opelika apartment would read him his stories and talk Fantasy with him, that it ignited that old spark again. It was always there just dormant. While all of his old written material is lost now (though he hopes to scour his home to find some) he hopes to write a great deal in the future and create a fantasy world that he can relate to and at the same time impart to others in whatever way he can.
