About the Book

Ordenssällskapet Par Bricole instiftades den 15 maj 1779 på Södra Stadshuset (idag Stadsmuseet) av vännerna Olof Kexél, Carl Israel Hallman samt Carl Michael Bellman med Frimurarna och Bellmans Bacchi orden som inspirationskällor. Par Bricole har alltid haft som mål är att vårda och bevara det svenska kulturarvet främst i form av kör- och vissång, musik, teater och talekonst. Redan från starten 1779 användes artister och talanger för att förgylla Brödernas sammankomster. Under 1900-talet instiftades formellt olika Talanggrupper för dessa aktiviteter som Den Bacchanaliska Kören, Den Bacchanaliska Musiken, Den Baccha- naliska Theatern, De Bacchanaliska Lekarne samt Den Bacchanaliska Akademien. De fyra första gruppernas historia är väl kända. Redan till invigningen av Sergels Bellmansbyst vid Bellmansro den 26 juli 1829 organiserades en manskör inom Par Bricole i Stockholm och kören är idag förmodligen den äldsta oavbrutet existerande manskören i Norden. Däremot har bakgrunden till Akademiens tillkomst varit betydligt mer oklar eller helt okänd. Inför Akademiens 90-årsjubiléum 2017 ville jag försöka ta reda på när den startades, vem eller vilka som var initiativtagare, vilka som fattade beslutet samt hur var tidsandan i Par Bricole före och efter starten. Dessa frågor tarvade många besök i vårt arkiv i Stockholms Stadsarkiv samt i arkiv som ej ägs av Par Bricole. Efter att tidsandan och händelser som påverkade bildandet av Akademien beskrivits i boken följer en summering av Akademiens historia fram till och med 2017 med Högtidssammanträdenas protokoll som grund. About the Author: Född 1941 i Stockholm. Åke Pilotti disputerade 1971 vid institutionen för organisk kemi vid Stockholms universitet och blev 1999 professor. Han engagerade sig tidigt i studentlivet, först i den naturvetenskapliga föreningen. Under studentåren och även senare var han en återkommande centralfigur i naturvetarnas årliga spex. Åke Pino Pilotti utsågs i början av nittiotalet av de naturvetenskapliga studenterna till fakultetens bästa lärare. Han är sedan 1969 medlem av Par Bricole och engagerades omgående i Den Bacchanaliska Theatern. Idag är han teaterns centralgestalt.
