About the Book

Looking for a job? Then you need an A+ quality resume. Having written 1,800+ resumes, Greg Fall provides step-by-step, detailed "how to" instructions for writing each section of the resume to get you noticed and help secure an interview. You will learn unique concepts and strategies Greg has developed over the years to give his clients an edge, including those of: the "one resume," "core strengths," "core hiring motives," the "news article cover letter," the "targeted reference list," among many others. An entire chapter is promoted to taking a detailed inventory of your strengths, values, and skills and the following chapter describes how to use such information to create an effective and authentic brand to be marketed on the resume. As important as writing your resume, this book explains in detail how you should be using it, including how to avoid the trap of simply submitting it with online applications and waiting forever as no one contacts you. The book details ideas for getting it in the hands of the hiring manager and also how to integrate it with social media. In addition, this book offers more than 50 pages of networking, interviewing, and negotiating tips.
About the Author: Greg has more than 15 years of experience in career coaching, resume-writing, outplacement and consulting for scores of companies. Previously an executive/retained recruiter, he has helped write thousands of resumes and has trained or coached more than 8,000 individuals in job-search techniques. Greg has also published the first book in his forthcoming job search rescue series "Job Search Rescue: 101 Strategies on How to Get Unstuck. Greg has created unique career management concepts and has also done work related to authenticity and masks, capacity and resiliency, locus of control, self-efficacy, and the need for relationship. Greg is informed mainly by humanist thinking, including the work of Carl Rogers, Parker Palmer, and his mother, Marijane Fall. When not working or traveling, you can find Greg at home in southern Maine with his wife, 2 children, 2 cats, and 1 dog. Greg and his family feel blessed to live near ocean and mountains where they can be active in the outdoors. Every day Greg practices gratitude and unconditional positive regard. Greg's energy is marked by positivity, genuine caring, forgiveness, and continuous learning.
