Aaron SpacefoodHello, I'm Aaron Spacefood! I am an avid student of finger drumming and a lifelong pursuer of musical expression. My journey through music has taken many forms, including ghost production, sound design, music education, film sound, and production-bascally anything that keeps me immersed in music and sound. My passion for music began early in life with my dad, a drummer in various bands, and my older brother following suit. I started with piano but soon realized it couldn't fully express the multi-timbral arrangements I dreamed up. Discovering computers as a medium for music creation was a game-changer, and I was immediately hooked, diving deeply into the world of electronic music. My formal training at Metalworks Institute in Toronto laid the foundation for my career in Audio Engineering and Sound Production. For over 15 years, I've worked professionally, producing and engineering various genres such as Trance, Techno, Dubstep, Downtempo, Psytrance, Rock, Country, Pop, and Jazz. Teaching has also been a significant part of my journey, with experiences at Long & McQuade (the largest music franchise in Canada), YouTube, Zoom sessions, and my website, Spacefood.ca.In recent years, I've yearned to perform my electronic music in a more organic and traditional way. While DJing is fantastic, I wanted a method to perform in real time. This led me to finger drumming, which for me, is the perfect intersection of piano, drumming, and electronic production. Creating the Finger Drum Bible series has been a labor of love, with Finger Drum Genesis being the second book. My hope is that this book will ignite your passion and enhance your skills in finger drumming. Read More Read Less
