Agiesh Kumar Balakrishna PillaiDr. Agiesh Kumar Balakrishna Pillai is currently working as Deputy Director and Senior Scientist in CIDRF, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth Deemed University. He completed his Masters Degree in Biotechnology from Pondicherry Central University. He later obtaine PhD in Biotechnology and Microbiology from Vector Control Research Centre, a WHO collaborating ICMR Permanent Centres. Dr. Kumar had his first postdoctoral training in the areas of molecular parasitology from Texas Tech University and the second postdoc from Department of Cellular Biology at the University of Georgia in the areas of RNA interference and ISH. He started his career as an Assistant professor at SASTRA University, TamilNadu and has about eleven years of teaching and research experience. He has published several papers in virology and has served as a reviewer in high impact international peer reviewed journals.
