Alice Chen KittermanAlice is a full-time scientific/medical illustrator, and has also been writing and illustrating children's books since 2012. Her newest character, Madeleine Lapin, came from purchasing a Christmas ornament in the form of a rabbit, which then remindedher of her first pet (a rabbit, of course). She recently began re-learning French, and this inspired her to make her character French. To push herself, she wrote the book in French, quickly realized she was in over her head, and hired a certified French translator to do it correctly.
