Aryan KaushikDr. Aryan Kaushik is Assistant Professor at the University of Sussex, UK, associated with the School of Engineering and Informatics, Sussex Artificial Intelligence Institute, and ACMI research centre, since 2021. Prior to that, he has been a ResearchFellow at the University College London, UK, with the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, from 2020-21. He completed his PhD degree in Communications Engineering at the Institute for Digital Communications, School of Engineering, The University of Edinburgh, UK, in 2019. He received his MSc degree in Telecommunications from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong, in 2015. He has held visiting professor/researcher appointments at the Shenzhen Institute of Beihang University, China, from 2022, Athena Research and Innovation Center, Greece, in 2021, Imperial College London, UK, from 2019-20, University of Luxembourg, Luxembourg, in 2018, and Beihang University, China, from 2017-19. His research interests include signal processing for 5G/6G wireless communications, integrated sensing and communications, reconfigurable holographic and intelligent surfaces, energy efficient communication systems, millimeter wave massive MIMO and satellite communication networks. He has been involved as research lead in the UK MOD, DSTL, DASA and EPSRC funded projects on integrated sensing and communications including the UK-wide UDRC consortium, PI in the UKRI HEIF supported project on green and autonomous UAVs and Sussex-ROF funded project on integrated sensing and communications, and many other collaborative projects.
