Claire Le Men

Claire Le MenWhile spending time in the countryside during lockdown, Claire Le Men developed a passion for flowers. But the fertile imagination of this Paris-born author and illustrator soon got the better of her and, inspired by the work of Léopold Chauveau, trasformed the flowers that are the pride of our gardens into endearing little monsters.
Before making drawing and writing her profession, Claire Le Men studied medicine and specialised in psychiatry. This experience inspired her first graphic novel, Le syndrome de l'imposteur (published by La découverte, 2019) and Nouvelles du dernier étage (published by Seuil, 2021). She then published Mon musée imaginaire (éditions La découverte, 2023), an (autobio)graphic essay on art, and Le non-événement, her first novel, was published by Gallimard (2024). She lives in Brittany.
