Coline HaxaireColine Haxaire is a French-born biologist and self-taught illustrator specializing in realistic, nature-inspired art with an emphasis on animals. She started drawing shortly after moving to New York in 2013 and hasn't stopped since. With the support nd encourage-ment of her family, she signed on to the exciting project of illustrating WILLOW'S WAY, her first children's book. To create her very detailed drawings, Haxaire uses her favorite mediums: soft pastels, pastel pencils, and watercolors. She is involved in conservation and animal rights, and in 2022 her work was featured in the French conservation magazine La Gazette des Grands Prédateurs.Haxaire lives in Ridgewood, New Jersey, with her husband, Guillaume, and their two children, Alexandre and Louisa.
