He is a Spanish professor specializing in Latin American literature, critical theory, and instructional design. He has taught all levels of Spanish language and culure courses as well as Hispanic literature and film at the University of California, Irvine, University of Redlands, and Napa Valley College in California, as well as Middlebury Language Schools in Vermont, and College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts.
