Elena LucchiElena Lucchi is a Research Fellow at the Politecnico di Milano, and Senior Researcher, EURAC Research, Bolzano, Italy. Her research addresses the connections between energy, environment, and architecture, with a focus on energy efficiency of building, energy retrofit, Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV), bioclimatic and environmental design, and preventive conservation of cultural heritage. She has worked extensively on energy efficiency and retrofit of existing and historical buildings, solar energy integration, numerical simulations, on-site and laboratory testing, environmental monitoring, and green rating systems. Dr. Lucchi is coordinating the European Project "BIPV meets history" on the integration of photovoltaic systems in heritage buildings, towns, and landscapes (2019-onwards). She has been involved in several major research projects and participated in IEA Task 59 "Deep renovation of Historic Buildings", leading sub-task B1.1 on "Energy and Environmental Protocols" (2016-2021).
