Florica LorintFlorica Lorint was born in Varfuri, Romania. From a young age she was fascinated with the fairytales her grandparents told in front of the fireplace on cold winter nights. She escaped from communist Romania in 1969, going to Belgium and later Canada,where she became a college professor.
