Gregory ShellnuttJ. Gregory Shellnutt is a Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences, National Taiwan Normal University. His research focuses on the geochemistry and geochronology of igneous rocks from large igneous provinces, Precambrian mafic dyke swarms, the Cntral African Orogenic Belt, and the Appalachian Orogeny. Greg has published more than 100 peer reviewed SCI papers, is Co-Editor-in-Chief of Lithos, and served on the editorial boards of Lithos, Journal of Asian Earth Sciences, Scientific Reports, Geology, and Frontiers in Earth Sciences. He has reviewed and edited over 650 manuscripts and guest edited special issues in Lithos, American Journal of Science, International Journal of Earth Sciences, and Frontiers in Earth Sciences. He was awarded Young Scientist awards from the Mineralogical Association of Canada and Academia Sinica, the 2015 Ministry of Science and Technology (Taiwan) Outstanding Research Award, and the Ma Ting Ying and Wang Hanzhuo awards from the Geological Society of Taiwan.
