J L HomanJ L HOMAN is a published author with a BA in English from the University of Wisconsin/Madison, and lives in western Massachusetts. The first member of either parent's family to achieve a college degree, he lived twenty-seven years in Manhattan, kickig legs and singing songs in three Broadway musicals, and traveled North America in several musical tours. He's won scholarships with two international dance companies; survived the AIDS pandemic; and is attempting to rewrite the narrative of his life, while dealing daily with the existential angst and ironies that come with growing older and learning to let go. As a "gypsy" in three Broadway shows, he worked with Carol Channing, Donnie Osmond, and David Cassidy, and was seen as a "Rocker" in two Radio City spectaculars for the Ginger Rogers and Carol Lawrence. He received his Actors' Equity Association membership card from St. Louis Municipal Opera's 1975 Summer Musical season.
