J M MuletJ. M. Mulet es licenciado en química y doctor en bioquímica y biología molecular por la Universidad de Valencia. Actualmente es profesor de biotecnología en la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia y dirige una línea de investigación en el Instiuto de Biología Molecular y Celular de Plantas, centro mixto del CSIC y la UPV, tratando de desarrollar plantas tolerantes a la sequía o al frío, con numerosas publicaciones científicas y algún premio.
También dirige el Máster en Biotecnología Molecular y Celular de Plantas. En paralelo a su labor académica desarrolla una amplia actividad como divulgador científico. Es autor del libro Los productos naturales ¡vaya timo!, del blog Tomates con genes y tuitero compulsivo. J. M. Mulet holds a degree in chemistry and a PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Valencia. He is currently a professor of biotechnology at the Polytechnic University of Valencia and directs a line of research at the Institute of Molecular and Cellular Biology of Plants, a joint center of the CSIC and the UPV, trying to develop plants tolerant to drought or cold, with numerous scientific publications and some awards. He also directs the Master's Degree in Molecular Biotechnology and and Plant Cell. In parallel to his academic work, he develops an extensive activity as a science communicator. He is the author of the book Los productos naturales ¡vaya timo! (Natural Products, What a Scam!), the blog Tomates con genes (Tomatoes with Genes) and a compulsive tweeter.
