Jessica was adopted at birth and raised by her adoptive parents in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canad. Jessica and her family spent over a decade in Ontario but moved back to Nova Scotia in 2019. Jessica started blogging about parenting and child development around 2018. Since then, she has developed workshops and books to share her knowledge of child development and parenting with others. Jessica has a unique perspective as she is a C-PTSD survivor. Jessica's home is also neurodivergent, so her insight reflects an inclusive, neuro-affirming perspective. The centre she spent the most time at was the Lab School at Seneca College. This school was Reggio inspired, and also had a Forest School. Jessica was involved in the Forest School research that was going on, at the time, and that experience has influenced her perspective of children and learning. Jessica has knowledge and experience in a variety of areas of child development, such as Attachment, Mental Health, Child-led Learning, Feeding and Sleep, Understanding and Responding to Behaviour, Family Systems, Early Literacy Development, Physical Literacy, Neurodivergent children and families, Responsive Toilet Learning, and much more.
