Janet MorganArtist and author Janet Morgan has painted all over the world, from Kyrgyzstan to Antarctica. During the pandemic she turned to her own city, Brooklyn, and especially Coney Island, for inspiration. For 18 years she was an Expressive Arts Therapist wih adult cancer patients and Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and she has taught at the Art Students League and the Rubin Museum of Art in New York. She create a pantheon of 200 deities in large water media, and a large body of work called the Energy Bodies about the energy we carry with us.She has been artist-in-residence in Death Valley National Park, Weir Farm National Historic Site, the Babayan Cultural Center in Cappadocia, Turkey, the Omega Institute, She complete a public art commission for an Early Childhood Center in Queens, New York, and her large paintings of deities new and traditional (8 x 8 feet) have been featured at Omega's Women and Power Conference, at Burning Man and the Parliament of World Religions.
