Lee YatesLee Yates spent over 15 years in the Navy, where he reached the level of Senior Chief Petty Officer (E8). There he taught the Polaris/Poseidon nuclear missile electronics for 8 1/2 years. Because of his extensive military schooling, after he left theNavy IBM hired him as an engineer-despite not having a college degree. At IBM Lee was responsible for some of the logic design for the Navy's SH-60B Seahawk helicopter avionics. He also designed the first automation of the logistics support analysis records (LSAR).
