Disappointed by the lack of representation in the books she found, Harris decided to create what she wanted to see: children's books with characters that reflected her son and her family.A proud supporter of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Harris is a 1998 graduate of the School of Business and Industry at Florida A&M University.
