Richard ConnellRichard Edward Connell Jr. (October 17, 1893 - November 22, 1949). He was an American writer and journalist. He is best recognized for his short story, The Most Dangerous Game in 1924. Connell was one of the most famous American short story writers o his time. His short stories were also published in Collier's and The Saturday Evening Post, he faced equal success as a screenwriter and journalist. He was nominated for (Best Original story) for an Academy Award in 1942 for his short story (A Reputation). He started his writing career for The Poughkeepsie Journal and went to Georgetown college for a year before going to Harvard. In Harvard, Connell edited The Lampoon and The Crimson.
