Sierra (C J ) MorrisHi! My name is Sierra Joy (C.J.) Morris, a 2024 high school graduate from Warrenville, Illinois. I have grown passionate about all aspects of writing, poetry, and art ever since I learned that 'writing' meant more than just five-paragraph essays. Thetopic of my poems range from personal experiences, thoughts about the universe, seemingly meaningless drivel, to metaphors about popcorn and chocolate. I have written a multitude of poems I hope to share someday, this is only a taste of what lies inside my head. (Not including all the writing that lies ahead from future experiences, or all the grand ideas that lie in a graveyard of my forgotten memories.) I want whoever reads my work to feel a sense of connection. To themselves, their environment, their peers, this universe, this life, and this overall state of existence. I've always found it interesting how many lonely artists there are in the world, creating from the same emotion but entirely different forms of art. We all have something worth transforming into art. I'm learning the act of creating just to create, not because anyone's watching, but because expressing the vast experiences of the human existence in some way is necessary to thrive.
