Travis WilderTravis jokingly refers to himself as a psycho biologist or a psycho farmer, because of his seemingly radical (by many people's perspectives) approach to gardening and the use of trees and bushes.He was born and raised, and is still a resident of, wit his awesome wife, in southeast Wisconsin.He is a father of two children - 1 daughter, 1 son.A science geek since early childhood, he majored in Biology at the University of Wisconsin. He has a passion for constantly learning, growing things, life itself, and questioning conventional wisdom.He also attended Oregon State University where he studied Permaculture Design.In 2005, he and his wife moved into the house they built and where they currently live. When they originally bought the land (10 acres) it had been used for farming and contained exactly zero trees.They started planting trees by hand. Their whole goal for the entire property was to design an edible and sustainable landscape, primarily as a means of future survival preparation.
