About the Book

Our lives are a collection of stories. The great majority of these stories form part of our routine, but a select few are fortuitous stories with a momentous impact on our life, development, future, and sometimes even... our past. These stories are the result of astounding coincidences, rare incidents, unbelievable situations, amazing encounters, at times blurring the distinction between imaginary and real, between the actual and the virtual world. The twenty two stories that I have chosen to present in this book represent 'unique' incidents that occurred in various parts of the world and had a dramatic effect on the lives of their characters. Each story concludes with a short message, providing food for thought and sometimes a practical lesson. These outstanding stories have another worthwhile benefit: Using imagination, they take us to distant places that are fascinating, magical and enchanting, unknown and unheard of, different and strange. The stories invite their readers to join them in a journey to countries such as India, Georgia, Burma (Myanmar) and Mexico, as well as Australia, Japan, South Africa, Brazil, and the Caribbean Islands. Other pleasing and interesting cities included are: New York, Copenhagen, Granada, Nashville, London, Toronto, Lille, Salvador, Wiesbaden, Prague, Tel Aviv, and more... For me this book has personal significance, as it is my eleventh published book. It commences my second decade of literary activity. I must admit that I wrote this book mostly thanks to the enthusiastic support and encouragement of my readers (in English and Hebrew) who send me constant feedback and supply me with energy for my next project. Every storyteller is supported by a life partner who provides stories and insights. My partner and the love of my life is Naomi. She is with me both in these stories and in the stories of our life. Like me, it is not always easy for her to distinguish between actual occurrences and imaginary events that occur to the various characters in my stories.
