About the Author: Darin Spindler has been a life long serial entrepreneur. Darin grew up in a small town of about 1,000 residents in Central Wisconsin. At one time, my family owned the feed mill, the general store, and the tavern. The year before Darin as born, his parents built an eight lane bowling alley and his family was involved with multiple businesses since the day he was born. Darin started his first business at the age of fifteen. Darin operated a mobile DJ service while most of his friends were working at McDonald's. Darin out DJing weddings and fundraising events-making a few hundred bucks a week while his friends were making five or six bucks an hour flipping hamburgers, and not having nearly as much fun! Darin's interest in marketing started, because he needed to get customers for his DJ business. His parents wouldn't help him out with the funding of that business other than to co-sign a note at the local bank. Darin started that business with borrowed speakers, CDs and a home stereo system. Darin also grew up in the bowling business. Darin's parents owned the local bowling alley, as well. Darin left the family business, moved to Green Bay, WI and went to work for a small chain of bowling centers. Using many of the marketing strategies outlined in this book Darin helped take of the bowling centers from just over a million dollars in sales to over $3 million in sales. Over the past seven years Darin along with his team including Andy have helped generate millions of new customers for their clients and tens of millions of dollars of bottom line cash. Darin enjoys helping business owners find new patients and customers systematically so that they actually know what's going to come in the door next month-not just running their businesses on hope and prayer. Andy O' Mara began his entrepreneurial journey during college while starting an asphalt maintenance business. Since limited funds were available to him he learned a variety of grassroots techniques to generate and retain customers for the business. He has applied these same techniques and developed a toolbox of others to launch many offline and online businesses since college. His strengths are in customer acquisition and retention as well as providing strategies that help differentiate businesses from their competition.
