Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Ingenieurwissenschaften - Energietechnik, Note: 1,3, Technische Universität Dresden (Institut für Energietechnik), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Entwicklung ressourcenschonender Technologien ist seit geraumer Zeit Gegenstand wissenschaftlicher und ökonomischer Diskussionen. Davon motiviert, möchte diese Arbeit einen Beitrag leisten, wie bislang nicht wirtschaftlich nutzbare Energiequellen erschlossen werden können. Ein bedeutender Teil der weltweit erzeugten Elektroenergie wird in Wärmekraftwerken mittels thermodynamischer Kreisprozesse gewonnen. Dank der großen Temperaturdifferenzen werden entsprechend hohe Wirkungsgrade erreicht. Die Nutzung von Wärme und Abwärme mit einer geringen Temperaturdifferenz ist hingegen mit einer Vielzahl von technischen und vor allem wirtschaftlichen Hemmnissen verbunden. Ob als ungenutzte Abwärme von Industrieanlagen oder als warmes Oberflächenwasser tropischer Meeresflächen: Thermische Potenziale mit geringen Temperaturunterschieden scheinen nahezu unbegrenzt verfügbar zu sein. Bei der Nutzbarmachung dieser Ressource ist vorrangig der unwirtschaftliche Einsatz aufwändiger Technik der begrenzende Faktor. Eine zielführende Lösung der genannten Hemmnisse bietet der Stirling-Motor. Das seit fast 200 Jahren bekannte Prinzip des Heißluftmotors hat in einer Vielzahl technischer Anwendungen seine Leitungsfähigkeit unter Beweis gestellt. Die Möglichkeit der Wärmezufuhr von außen und die damit verbundene Nutzungsmöglichkeit beliebiger Wärmequellen und nicht zuletzt auch die Vielfalt möglicher Maschinenkonfigurationen machen den Stirling-Motor interessant für das bisher wenig erschlossene Gebiet der Umwandlung von Niedertemperatur-Wärme in mechanische Arbeit. In diesem Zusammenhang ist es notwendig, verschiedene Bauweisen und Motorkonfigurationen im Kontext des geringen Temperaturpotentials zu betrachten.
