Ach Gluck, so seufzt sie mehr als sie spricht, als sei ihr dieses Wort schon lange entfallen. Szenen einer Ehe, eher undramatisch, fast unterkuhlt beschrieben in Monika Marons neuem Roman. Er ist die Fortsetzung von Endmoranen (2002 erschienen). Zu den beiden Hauptdarstellern im neuen Werk gesellt sich noch der Hund Bredow. Er ist nach der Autobahnauffahrt benannt, an der Johanna das Tier angebunden vorfindet; sie rettet ihn, eine innige Beziehung entsteht. Achim und Johanna leben in Berlin, haben den DDR-Sozialismus ganz gut uberstanden und sind angekommen in der neuen Gesellschaft. Der Triumph uber den Untergang dieses Staates "sei das letzte große Gefuhl gewesen, das sie beide miteinander geteilt hatten", sagt Johanna. Sie schreibt Biografien, er forscht uber den Dichter Kleist. Fast 30 Jahre sind zu zusammen, haben eine gemeinsame Tochter. Sie arbeiten zu Hause. Die Tage ahneln einander, wiederholen sich, die Begegnungen mit Freunden und Bekannten sind nach vielen Jahren wie Rituale, kaum Neues, nichts Spannendes. Johannes sitzt am Schreibtisch im Arbeitszimmer, vergraben in Manuskripten, umgeben von Buchern. Er sitzt mit dem Rucken zur Welt, wie seine Frau sagt, meint aber, mit dem Rucken zu ihr. Und damit wird ihre Beziehung sehr genau beschrieben. Maron erzahlt ruhig, gelassen und sehr prazise. Naturlich vor allem aus der Sicht der Frau, mit ihren Gefuhlen, Hoffnungen, dem Arger uber die eheliche Routine. In Bewegung kommt das erstarrte Duo durch die Zuneigung der Frau zu Hund Bredow und vor allem durch die Begegnung mit Igor. Er ist ein Russe, der in Berlin eine Galerie fuhrt. Er vermittelt die Reise nach Mexiko zu einer dort lebenden russischen Aristokratin. Mit der Ankunft Johannas in Mexiko City endet das Buch, und damit beginnen die Fragen des Lesers nach dem Gluck, wie es zu finden und festzuhalten ist. Ach Gluck ist ein sprachlich klares Buch, ohne stilistische Spielereien und Schnorkel, uber den Aufbruch einer Frau Mitte 50, uber einen zuruckbleibenden ratlosen, nicht unsympathischen Mann, der nicht begreift, was ihm da widerfahrt. Doch auch hier bleibt eine Hoffnung; die Hoffnung, dass er zu einem Neuanfang findet. -- Carsten Hansen, Literaturtest
