Aufgabe der Fahrwerksentwicklung ist es den Zielkonflikt zwischen Fahrkomfort, Fahrsicherheit und Einhaltung des Federwegs bestmöglich aufzulösen. Die Fahrzeugeigenschaften hinsichtlich Fahrkomfort und Fahrsicherheit (Sportlichkeit) stellen ein wichtiges Differenzierungsmerkmal im Fahrzeugbau dar und sind Gegenstand ständiger Weiterentwicklung. Passive Komponenten werden dabei immer mehr durch aktive Fahrwerkssysteme ersetzt. Die Umsetzung vieler moderner Regelungskonzepte für aktive Fahrwerkssysteme scheitert jedoch an den fahrzeugtechnischen Randbedingungen. Ziel des in dieser Studie entwickelten vertikaldynamischen Regelungskonzepts ist daher eine transparente und implementierbare Reglerstruktur, welche das Potential aktiver Aktuatorik unter Berücksichtigung fahrzeugtechnischer Randbedingungen bestmöglich ausnutzt. Grundlage des Regelungskonzepts ist ein Referenzmodell, welches das dynamische Verhalten eines Fahrwerks mit variabler Federsteifigkeit und Dämpfung abbildet. Dadurch ergibt sich gegenüber einem reinen Verstelldämpfersystem ein deutlich erhöhter Adaptionsspielraum zwischen Komfort, Fahrsicherheit und Einhaltung des Federwegs ohne sich vom bewährten grundlegenden Fahrverhalten passiver Fahrwerke zu entfernen. Neben dem Verzicht auf einen Beobachter und einer damit reduzierten Diskrepanz zwischen theoretischer und praktischer Leistungsfähigkeit, konnte auch eine transparente Parametrierbarkeit für die effiziente Applikation im Fahrzeug erreicht werden. Um seine Umsetzbarkeit und praktische Leistungsfähigkeit zu überprüfen, ist das Konzept an einem aktiven Fahrwerk an einem Viertelfahrzeugprüfstand untersucht und validiert worden. Bei der anschließenden Umsetzung auf eine neuartige hybride Kombination aus Serienaktuatoren konnte, ohne signifikante Einbußen bei der Leistungsfähigkeit, eine deutliche Verringerung des Energieverbrauchs erreicht werden. Mit dem in dieser Arbeit entwickelten Regelungskonzept kann der bei der Fahrwerksabstimmung vorhandene Ziel
