Malek Bouhaouala is Associate Professor in the Socioeconomics of Sport at Université Grenoble Alpes, France. He coordinates a research programme on ecosystem innovation in the mountain sports industry and is President of the think tank University and Enterprise Alliance of Grenoble (AUEG).
