About the Book

First trimester miscarriage is rarely discussed and typically brushed aside due to society's opinion that a loss this early doesn't matter. Women are often left to grieve in silence. All That is Seen and Unseen is full of Elizabeth's most private journal entries. She introduces you to her life and the years she suffered through infertility. This pregnancy was a complete surprise; however, like many other women who endure pregnancy loss, Elizabeth had a looming feeling she would lose her baby. Elizabeth takes you into the exam rooms as she watches her baby grow, only to discover that her feelings of loss were confirmed just eight weeks into her pregnancy. Elizabeth will walk you through her devastation, grief, and recovery.
About the Author: Elizabeth Petrucelli is a certified childbirth educator, doula, and parenting instructor. She is the author of All That is Seen and Unseen - A Journey Through a First Trimester Miscarriage and The First Night; Small Town Fumblings of a Rookie Police Officer. Both books are based on Elizabeth's personal experiences. Growing up in a suburb of South Tulsa, Oklahoma, Elizabeth had always wanted to write a book. She often wrote short stories throughout her school years and excelled in her college English classes. Elizabeth is a multifaceted, forward thinker who enjoys a challenge. She struggled with infertility for over 22 years and is passionate about helping others on their path to achieving parenthood. Following a first trimester miscarriage, Elizabeth began working closely with miscarriage and infant loss bereavement organizations and is currently undertaking a nationwide miscarriage project in order to bring together all miscarriage and infant loss organizations into one place. She was Colorado's first certified bereavement doula with Stillbirthday and has over 45 hours of training in miscarriage and stillbirth support. Elizabeth is a former U.S. Marine, who upon honorable discharge began working as an administrative assistant. She desired a career in law enforcement and began working towards that goal, filling many roles while pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology (anticipated 2015). She worked in the law enforcement and security field for approximately 10 years. Elizabeth is a true educator who enjoys public speaking on the topics of childbirth, infertility, miscarriage, and personal safety. Her specialties include: Miscarriage and Bereavement Support, Infertility Support, Professional Birth Assistance, Childbirth Education, Parenting Instruction, Healthcare Security Management, Administrative work, and Public Speaking. She lives in Parker, Colorado with her husband of over 16 years and their two living sons. The pregnancy with her daughter, Ruby Josephine, was her inspiration for publishing her memoir, All That is Seen and Unseen - A Journey Through a First Trimester Miscarriage. Elizabeth just published her second book, The First Night; Small Town Fumblings of a Rookie Police Officer, which details her comical first night on the job. She is currently working on three other manuscripts.
