About the Author: Robert Grottke graduated from Northwestern University with a BS degree and an accounting major. He financed his college education selling vacuum cleaners, women's hosiery, lingerie, and other items door-to-door.
After successfully completing his CPA exam, Grottke joined one of the largest public accounting firms in the United States. He spent thirty-nine years with the company, including twenty-six as an audit partner.
In addition to All You Need to Know about Accounting and Accountants, Grottke wrote Everything I Needed to Know in Life I Learned Selling Door-to-Door, based on his experience as a young salesman. He is also the co-author of Improving Productivity and Profits in Wholesale Distribution, the Magnifying Glass Technique.
After retirement Grottke acted as a financial consultant to companies within the supermarket industry, and was elected Chief Financial Officer for an international organization supporting grocery retailers. He has since retired from the position.
