Never make a deal with a Fae unless you know how to bargain.
If only it were that simple. But when you're left for dead by your own family in
a forest of monsters with no food, clothing, or protection, you take what you
can get.
The Fae King of Spring's deal didn't seem so bad...at first. Protection in
exchange for my tears. Tears capable of breaking curses.
I realize, only too late, that protection comes at a cost, though. That cost being
my freedom. In all of the chaos, there remains a single constant: the king's
general. And while I've been warned to stay away from him, I simply can't,
despite the fear and desire he sparks in me.
And while the Fae lands are beautiful and enchanting and filled with exciting
new discoveries, evil and deception lurk closer than one would think. The
longer I am here, the harder it is to see them. But if there is one rule I should
follow, above all others, it's to trust no one. Even myself, who might just be the
biggest danger of all.
