His experience includes working with zoonotic diseases, and he has knowledge of vaccinology and virology. His concern about whether the medical- and public-health community is ready to handle a pandemic inspired him to write Annuals: A Novel of Bioterrorism. He warns that it is coming and fears we're not ready.
A native of Brooklyn and former resident of Long Island, Bromberg now lives with his wife, Ruth, four cats, and a dog in southwest Florida.
