About the Book

'anything goes...' is the story of Siddhartha, a currency trader, who lived his life betting on economies to rise or fall; while he profited with every rise and every fall. He left it all after a tragic accident. It is the story of a man who loved but was cheated of it. It is a hymn to a man who saw death and wished to return to life. The author illustrates a game for Siddhartha to place his final trade in life; a bet on wisdom to see power fall; a bet on people to see the biggest institution of mankind fall. A trade which he hoped would bring about a revolution. A revolution to change the world forever! It is the story of a hero that lives inside each of us. It is a story of a sacrifice that would be remembered forever.
About the Author: Atish Mittal grew up in Bangalore, India. After spending time as an investment banker for few years, he left his job to pursue other interests. The author envisaged 'Anything goes...' at the background of a just happened financial crisis in 2008/2009. President Obama being elected as the first black President, Occupy Wall Street and a lot of conspiracy theories floating around, from secret societies, aliens to the Mayan calendar. He wished through his story to symbolize these events through a fictional account of the real world, while keeping the reader engrossed in the non-fictional elements that the narration brings out. 'anything goes...' is a three-part fictional narrative trilogy set in the present day world. Any person portrayed from real life is based purely on the author's perception. The author has never met them nor possesses any facts to base these depictions upon, apart from imagination in narrating the plot. Further, the views expressed or suggested are the author's own and neither encourages or discourages a particular institution or person; it merely shares perspectives through the fictional account of 'anything goes...' Atish Mittal is currently pursuing his Masters in Public Administration from Columbia University.
