About the Book

English summary: The present collection of articles examines the practice of dream interpretation in the ancient world. Centering on Artemidoruss Oneirocritica, these studies draw comparisons with Mesopotamia, Egypt, medieval England, and the Guajiros of Venezuala. Artemidoruss work allows a better understanding of oneiric divination as well as its implications for ancient Greek civilization.
