Wir schreiben das Jahr Sechstausend nach Christus. Ein Teil der Menschheit lebt in einem künstlichen Sternensystem, dessen Planeten dem Periodensystem der Elemente nachempfunden wurden. Dabei repräsentiert der jeweilige Atomkern den Planeten, die Anzahl der Monde entspricht den Elektronen der Elektronenhülle. Der dem Planeten nächstliegende Mond fungiert als halbseitige kleine Sonne. Deren Farben werden an Feiertagen variiert, Jahreszeiten wie Sommer und Winter durch sie simuliert. Die Geschichte beginnt mit einem Überfall auf die entlegene Handelsstation Xaradnia 23 und Sprengung des Planeten. Seltsame Ereignisse bewegen das All. Menschen verschwinden, noch nie da gewesene Körper, Gegenstände tauchen in der Milchstraße auf. Ein Raumschiff fliegt selbstständig davon und wird von einer kleinen Flotte verfolgt. Wider bekannter Naturgesetze erscheint am Rande des erforschten Universums eine neue Galaxie mit sechzehn Spiralarmen, immenser schwarzer Materie und nicht erfassbarer dunkler Energie. Sie sendet teilweise unbekannte Partikel in Überlichtgeschwindigkeit, zieht alles aus ihrer Umgebung an, beginnt Galaxien in sich aufzunehmen. Aus ihr strahlen energiereiche hauchdünne Gammastrahlen ins Unendliche, umgeben von unbekannten physikalischen Gesetzmäßigkeiten - tödlichen Linien. Die Menschheit bietet all ihre neueste Technologie auf, um diese Phänomene zu erforschen. Sie schickt genetisch verbesserte Humanoide und Roboter ins All, möchte ihr verloren gegangenes Schiff zurückholen. Dabei gelangt sie immer mehr in Konflikte mit anderen Spezies. Freundliche Spezies sind selten, feindliche Kreaturen werden immer aggressiver. Es entstehen Räume unterschiedlicher Zeiten, unbeherrschbare Gefahrenzonen. Nicht nur physikalische Phänomene stecken hinter den Erscheinungen. Der Menschheit überlegene Rassen verfolgen ganz eigene Ziele, die noch im Dunkeln liegen. About the Author: Holm Kohlmann, geboren 1966, lebt in Bautzen. Er studierte Elektrotechnik/ Informationstechnik in Magdeburg und Karlsruhe. Der Autor arbeitete vor allem in der Softwareentwicklung und ist seit 2006 freiberuflich als Schriftsteller tätig.
