About the Book

A red line drawn in the sand is crossed but goes unanswered. A rebel invasion is supported only half-heartedly. A showdown with Russia over a small country's quest to be a nuclear power approaches an all-out conflict. A war started on false premises in an exotic land seemingly never ends and becomes increasingly unpopular as it escalates. Illegal immigrants from a southern neighboring country risk their lives to flee to the United States. Concern over a perceived threat to America's national security goes amuck. A secret CIA assassination program against foreign leaders veers awry and backfires with multiple attempts against the very life of the President of the United States. Is this Barack Obama in 2014? No, it was John F. Kennedy in 1963! With a touch of New Orleans and a smattering of the "Antiques Roadshow," Autopsy in the Oval Office, a historical novel, recounts how an antiques dealer after going to an auction and buying a sterling silver Tiffany vase uncovers the truth behind the assassination of the 35th President of the United States. However, unlike other books on the subject, it remains faithful to the observations made by the physicians in Dallas, who attended to John F. Kennedy. The front neck wound was an entry wound. The single bullet theory (a.k.a. the magic bullet theory) does not explain what happened to Governor John Connally. Kennedy's own men forcefully and illegally stole his body from Parkland Memorial Hospital. The Warren Commission got it wrong. So, hold on tightly to your voodoo doll and wrap your gris-gris bag securely around your neck, you will need both of them for this adventure.
About the Author: Kenneth Braunstein, MD (Born: July 4, 1950) lived in Walterboro, South Carolina until he went to College at the Johns Hopkins University. He did his internship and residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital from 1976 to 1979, during which most of the physicians, who had been in ER 1 with JFK, were still there. Autopsy in the Oval Office is based upon the observations he was told were made at Parkland Memorial Hospital on November 22, 1963.
