About the Author: Rita Ann Maranowski, PhD, has fifteen years of teaching experience in many different learning environments, from public, private, and charter K-12 schools to community colleges and universities. She earned her PhD in education leadership and policy studies, with a cognate in education evaluation and research, from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
Prior to completing her PhD, she earned a master's in teaching, with an education specialist certification in general administration and supervision, also from Wayne State University.
Throughout her years of teaching and of interacting with both established and aspiring educators, she developed a passion for raising the educational standards so that every student could receive the best education available. She has devoted her career to facilitating this change in the educational landscape through professional development and training for educators.
