Research Paper (undergraduate) from the year 2015 in the subject Romance Languages - Italian and Sardinian Studies, University of Chieti-Pescara (Dipartimento di Studi Medievali e Moderni), language: Italian, abstract: La tematica che è oggetto del presente saggio ha avuto qualche trattazione generale, non specifica (si vedano gli studi del Richter e dell'Ariés), essendo forse troppo coinvolgente dal punto di vista emotivo. In effetti, la morte dei fanciulli, al di là della qualificazione letteraria che ne viene data, appare come una sorta di tabù da non infrangere, un "temenos" da non violare se non attraverso l'evocazione effettuata dal romanziere e/o dallo scrittore di prosa. Accanto a casi tratti dalle opere di Grass, di George Eliot, di Bontempelli e di Fogazzaro (tanto per esemplificare talune delle occorrenze studiate), si pone un'interpretazione complessiva del campo semantico in questione, che afferisce ad una dimensione magica e misteriosa non evidenziata in nessuno studio precedente.
About the Author: Giorgio Pannunzio è dottore di ricerca in Lingua e Letteratura delle Regioni d'Italia. Ha pubblicato numerosi articoli e volumi sulla prosa dannunziana (nonché il volume "Il latino del Vate. Fonti e citazioni latine nel D'Annunzio narratore", 2015) e sulla novellistica del movimento verista, interessandosi anche della poesia satirica del primo Ottocento e di taluni autori dell'illuminismo abruzzese. Nel campo delle letterature straniere, talune riflessioni "extravagantes" lo hanno condotto a studiare i paradigmi semantici di Master e di Nicholas Guillen (questi e altri saggi sono stati poi raccolti nel libro "Nei meandri del testo", del 2013). Ha inoltre curato, tra le altre, l'edizione delle "Massime" di G. Mezzanotte (1997) e dei "Saggi di guerra" di Federico De Roberto (2014) ed è autore di due monografie, una sul drammaturgo Pietro Saraceni (2013) e l'altra sul poeta carducciano Antonio della Porta, nonché di un testo sulla letteratura siciliana "fin de siecle" ("Noterelle di letteratura siciliana", 2013). Ha pubblicato anche una collezione di studi filosofico-letterari e uno studio sul drammaturgo ottocentesco Filippo Barattani (2018). Vive a Lecce, dove insegna in un Liceo.
