About the Book

I den första delen berättar en rysk flicka hur hon som fyraåring skildes från sina föräldrar och togs in på barnhem. Hon beskriver själv sina tankar, känslor och reflexioner under en tioårs-period på fyra olika barnhem i Moskva. Hon berättar om rutinerna på barnhemmen och om positiva och negativa händelser och om personalens förhållande till barnen. Den andra delen handlar om hur ett svenskt par försöker adoptera denna flicka från Barnhem 67 där hon befinner sig då år 2001. De tvingas genomföra adoptionen helt utan bistånd från de gängse organisationerna eftersom dessa vägrar att befatta sig med adoptionsfrågor i Moskva. Denna vägran grundar sig på att de vederbörliga myndigheterna i Moskva, till skillnad från det övriga Ryssland, är synnerligen svåra att samarbeta med. I del två får vi följa det svenska parets framgångar och nederlag i den ryska byråkratiska djungeln; jakten på myndigheter och myndighetspersoner, och ställningskrig mot byråkrater. Men vi får även vara med om händelser, både på barnhemmet och ute i den stora staden; förtretligheter, intriger, äventyr och annat. De båda berättelserna är dokumentära och de utspelar sig i Moskva under åren 1994 till 2004. Samtliga barn uppträder med påhittade namn och även många av de vuxna.
About the Author: Författaren Jörgen Sanner är bosatt på Hållnäshalvön i norra Uppland. Han är framför allt verksam som fotograf, med fokus på den speciella kusten i norra Uppland och de många spännande vallonbruken. I början av 2000-talet blev han engagerad i en utbytesverksamhet som innebar att ryska barn-hemsbarn fick en möjlighet att bo några veckor på sommaren i svenska familjer. Under en tid var han också ordförande i den förening som administrerade resorna och fick då en djupare inblick i barnhemsverksamheten. Han lärde känna många av barnhemsbarnen och den personal som arbetade med dem. Jörgen Sanner gjorde ett tiotal resor till Moskva i början av 2000-talet och skaffade sig ett rikt material av anteckningar från dessa resor. 2013 föddes idén att sammanställa materialet och tillsammans med flickan, som är berättaren i den första delen, beslöts att publicera det i bokform. Första delen av boken bygger på samtal mellan flickan och författaren.
