About the Book

As Bentley enters year five of his astonishing life he is called back to where he was born. George and Georgette Franklin have been keeping information from him that could have big consequences when Bentley learns of it. Bentley's mama and papa, Martha and Nathan, who live with the Franklin's have been pondering what would be the right time to pass this information onto the next generation and which sibling should be the custodian of these historical and treasured personal papers. Luke Kannon had a deep down feeling that what they were about to learn was going to lead to another adventure somewhere somehow. He was going to watch out for mysterious happenings because he was sure Great Grand Pappy General Bentley and General Samuel and Great Grand Mom Betsy and Abby had arranged this calling. What was in these personal papers and how would they connect the past and present? How would their lives be changed and what tribulations would they face? Adventures planned by Great Grand Pappy General Bentley and General Samuel and Great Grand Mom Betsy and Abby were discovered by many extraordinary smaller events. They knew Bentley would guide them through many challenges until they reached their destiny. The goddess of the dawn was now upon them. Bentley returns to the home of the Franklin's with Debbo Bee Moax and Luke Kannon. There they learn from Nathan and Martha that Bentley's great ancestors were born in New France and their puppies were born in Timber Crossing, predominately a mining town in the Canadian Providence of Quebec. They move from Timber Crossing to join General George Washington during the American Revolutionary War. When the battle for New France was lost New France and Timber Crossing were left in darkness. Bentley decides he is going back to Timber Crossing. His journey there becomes a thrilling adventure story. Before Bentley knew anything about where his great ancestors were born he had decided he wanted to experience being a lumberjack and was planning traveling to the Pacific Northwest. Those plans became part of a much larger adventure when Bentley learns that his great ancestors were born in New France and had lived in Timber Crossing, a town located in the Canadian Providence of Quebec. Sarah, the Marigold's Pomeranian, enters into Bentley's life. She adds mystery and romance to the adventure. Bentley had already begun training Luke Kannon in logging skills and had plenty to time to learn about Timber Crossing since Debbo Bee Moax was recovering from surgery. As with "Bentley Hunter of Big Game" Bentley, Debbo Bee Moax, and Luke Kannon working together embark on a fascinating adventure controlled by Bentley's great ancestors all the while encountering the most difficult of tribulations "Bentley Dawn At Timber Crossing" is about Bentley going back in time to the birthplace of his great ancestors. Once a flourishing territory of France, New France and Timber Crossing have been left in total darkness when the goddess of the dawn no longer opened the gates of Heaven for the Sun to rise there. As Bentley finds out, Timber Crossing in not as it appears. The plot develops as Bentley explores what time has forgotten. In this adventure Bentley attempts to complete what history has left undone.
About the Author: Hi, my name is Larry Kramer and I currently live in the suburbs of Maryland near Baltimore. My occupation has been a career in accounting practicing as a Certified Public Accountant and as a controller for various enterprises. I have never written a novel before but was for some unknown reason inspired to write "Bentley Hunter of Big Game". It is a memoir story of the first four years of Bentley's life. It also is about Bentley's first adventure that happened during his third and fourth year. There is a real Bentley and I think his heart and spirit did in a sense inspire me to begin this project. I had the time and continued with the effort coming up with the story literally as I sat down to write. Many days and nights work was tossed until I was satisfied the story was being told in a manner to entertain and to share the knowledge of my research. I had no idea where the story would go but it just took off. I have to say I had big doubts and did stop writing for periods of time but I hung in there. I think this is a very good story to tell. I hope you enjoy the book and can sense my fondness for Bentley. If you would like to contact me please write to larrykramercpa32p@yahoo.com My first book is titled "Bentley Hunter of Big Game". Upon finishing it I began to realize the story of Bentley was not done. There was more to his character and to his life I wanted to write about and share. His journey had to continue at least through one more adventure. So I began to write again developing this story as each day and night passed. My new novel is titled "Bentley Dawn At Timber Crossing". It is about Bentley's second adventure that happened during his fifth year. In late year 2014 at the encouragement of a friend and the first purchaser of "Bentley Hunter of Big Game" I began writing my third book which is titled "Bentley Sands of the Paws Code". It is about Bentley's third adventure that happened during his sixth year. "Bentley Sands of the Paws Code" is about the Ancient World and the Ancient Civilizations including Egypt, Greece, and the Roman Empire.
