Die mittlere ist von Naturkost, Vegetarismus und ökologischem Landbau begeistert, findet endlich Mitstreiter, will ein Kochbuch schreiben und bringt damit neuen Wind auf den Gärtnerhof, auf dem sie alle leben. Ihr Zwilling engagiert sich für freie Sexualität und Frauenrechte, verwickelt aber auch die andere in eine Sexgeschichte, die beide den Arbeitsplatz kostet. Die älteste verknallt sich unsterblich in einen Toptherapeuten des Gurus Bhagwan, ringt sich dann ab eine Therapiegruppe bei ihm mitzumachen und reist im Sommer mit der fünfjährigen Tochter in den Ashram nach Indien. Die Mutter der Fünf fragt sich, ob die freie Sexualität nur für die Jugend gilt, während der jüngere Bruder auch nicht mehr zur Schule gehen, sondern Rockmusiker werden will. Mit den Protagonistinnen taucht man in diese besondere Zeit ein. In Rauschzustände, heiße Orte in Hamburg, wie sie wirklich waren, in das Leben im Ashram in Poona, in das Wachsen und Gedeihen von tausenden Blumen und Früchten. Darin, wie man aus Gemüse einfach gutes Essen macht, und in manche politische Vorkommnisse dieser Jahre. Spannend und unvorhersehbar, nett und persönlich erzählt. Letztlich sind sie eine Familie und es geht bei allen um die Liebe und um Selbstverwirklichung und darum, wie man es schafft, so zu leben, dass es sinnstiftend und lebenswert ist.
About the Author: Sabine Gölz, 1960 im Kreis Pinneberg bei Hamburg geboren. Mit 18 aus dem Elternhaus ins Kommunikationszentrum Lorien mit vegetarischem Restaurant in Hamburg gezogen. 1979 Reise in den Ashram nach Poona, Indien. Mutter von 3 erwachsenen Kindern. Ausbildungen: Gesundheitsberaterin, Heilpraktikerin, Arzthelferin. Arbeit im Bioladen, jetzt als Fachverkäuferin für Heilkräuter in Hannover.
