About the Author: Mary Caine liebt Pferde schon seit frühester Kindheit und ein Pferd beherrschte schon früh ihre Träume: Man O'War, das vielleicht größte Rennpferd aller Zeiten! Als Teenager durfte Mary eine Vollblutstute reiten, die direkt von der Rennbahn kam. Hier lernte sie den faszinierenden Charakter und die Vielseitigkeit der englischen Vollblüter kennen. Jahre später besaß die arabische Vollblüter und immer war ihr Leben irgendwie mit Pferden verknüpft. Die Geschichte um "Big Red" spukte schon lange in ihrem Kopf herum und endlich konnte sie niedergeschrieben und veröffentlicht werden. Die Geschichte des Hengstes ist noch längst nicht erzählt und Mary Caine arbeitet bereits an der Fortsetzung, die im Frühjahr 2014 erscheint.
